Strings is the magazine for players of violin, viola, cello, bass, and fiddle. Strings readers make music, and they make music an integral part of their daily lives. Strings helps them do both, by covering the personalities, music, news, events, instruments, and gear that matter. Strings provides global coverage of the classical and new music played by many of its readers while exploring all musical genres where string players are active. For teachers and students, amateurs and professionals, Strings is the authority.

Latest reviews of Strings Magazine app for iPhone and iPad

No free issue for evaluation!
The app is probably no better or worse than any other magazine app. But, what made me give only two stars is the fact that the editor doesnt even give one single issue of this magazine for free, so that people have the opportunity to test it before subscribing or buying further issues. Therere so many magazines out there, which practically are just nice covers and no useful content and hence not worth the paper theyre printed on. Therefore, its essential to evaluate a magazine before you actually go and spend your hard earned money on it. If you go to a magazine store, youre also given the opportunity to browse a sample issue of a magazine you consider buying.
Extremely disappointing
I had expected with my $20/year subscription to have readable articles with mobile-optimized flowing text that I could read on my phone comfortably, or more importantly, have my phone read to me using the accessibility text to speech feature since my vision is poor. What I got instead was scanned plates of the magazine that are optimized for paper wrapped in a jittery, buggy app that is illegible and inaccessible on my iPhone. If i wanted to pinch and zoom and scroll to read every sentence I could have just bought a PDF. Waste of money.
Do not do it!
After updating the app I lost my entire digital subscription! Upon calling customer service they advised me they had no idea how to help me and that this basically IS NOT THEIR PROBLEM. I have been a subscriber for years but NO longer. They get one star because I am required to assign one in order to submit the review.
Upgrade corrupts downloads
Do not upgrade, my access has been corrupted and I have received no support from Strings. Purchased a subscription in December and now unable to access anything
Bad Update, Very Bad Update
